101st Rescue Squadron — Gabreski NY ANG HH-60 Pave Hawk

This page was built for one unit. If you flew, maintained, or jumped with the Pave Hawk out of Gabreski, this is yours.

The 101st Rescue Squadron — Francis S. Gabreski Airport, Westhampton Beach, New York — flies the HH-60G Pave Hawk as part of the 106th Rescue Wing, New York Air National Guard. The 101st is the rotary-wing half of the Guardian Angel mission: low-level penetration, hoist rescues, and getting into places where nothing else can land. They work alongside the 102nd RQS Combat King II crews overhead. "That Others May Live" isn't a motto at Gabreski — it's the job description.

HerkyBird Co. was started by a C-130 crew member who spent 25+ years on the aircraft. Every design is checked for accuracy because we know you know the difference. The 101st gear isn't generic aviation stuff with a unit name slapped on it — it's built from scratch for the unit, with the details that matter to the crews who've flown the Pave Hawk out of Long Island.
