Anything over 12 pieces — hats, shirts, or a mix — is a squadron order. Don't add them to the cart; the cart is built for one or two items and won't give you bulk pricing, correct shipping, or a design proof. Send us the details and we'll build the order and invoice you directly.

Herky Bird Co. builds custom laser-engraved and UV-printed leatherette gear for squadrons, units and crews — deployments, reunions, change of command, retirements, dining-outs and unit gear runs. Everything is made to order.

Why 12+ has to go through us

Bulk orders need things the checkout can't handle: tiered pricing, real freight cost on a heavy box, a design proof before we cut anything, and an invoice your unit can actually pay against. Ordering 12+ through the normal cart means you pay single-item retail and standard shipping — almost always more than a quote. One email saves you money.

What we need from you

The more of this you can give us up front, the faster the quote comes back.

  • Unit / squadron and aircraft
  • Quantity — even a rough number, and whether it's hats, shirts or both
  • Hat style — Richardson 112 or 115 (trucker), 169 (structured), Legacy Old Favorite (relaxed), or 326
  • Shirt sizes — a size breakdown if you have one (S through 2XL)
  • Patch or print type — laser-engraved leatherette, UV-printed full colour, or printed on fabric
  • Deadline — is this tied to a ceremony or a date?
  • Artwork — squadron patch, tail flash or unit crest, if you have it

How it works

  1. You send the request using the form below or by email.
  2. We quote you within 1–2 business days — per-item price, shipping, and a realistic timeline.
  3. We send a digital design proof for your approval. Nothing gets cut or printed until you sign off.
  4. We invoice you. Pay by card, or ask about terms if your unit needs to process a payment internally.
  5. Production starts when payment clears — typically 7–14 business days depending on size. The clock starts at payment, not at request.

Production does not begin until payment is received in full. Turnaround is counted from the date payment clears — not from the date you submit your request or approve your proof.

What we make in bulk

Hats — Richardson 112/115 trucker, 169 structured wool-blend, Legacy Old Favorite, 326. Laser-engraved leatherette or full-colour UV-printed tail flash.

Shirts — Bella+Canvas tees in gray, black and navy, S through 2XL. Your tail flash, squadron art or aircraft on the front, the back, or both. Built for morale runs, PT shirts, deployment orders and reunion gear. Same artwork as your hats, same standard.

Can coolers & can sleeves — engraved leatherette, 12oz slim and standard. Aircraft, tail numbers, call signs, squadron art.

Luggage tags — UV-printed or engraved leatherette, aircraft silhouettes and unit art.

Coasters — engraved slate and leatherette, sets of 6. Good for ready rooms and squadron bars.

Notebooks & journals — engraved leatherette with squadron logos, unit crests or command insignia. Strong for leadership gifts and award packages.

Mix and match styles, colours and patch designs within a single order. Hats and shirts can go on the same quote.
