The 143rd Airlift Wing — Rhode Island Air National Guard, Quonset State Airport, North Kingstown — is one of the smaller wings in the ANG, but the mission doesn't get smaller because the state does. The 143rd has been flying tactical airlift out of Quonset Point for decades, deploying crews that know the aircraft and know the job. The C-130J Super Hercules, a New England winter, and a wing that keeps the mission moving regardless.
